Dr. Mark W. Garon

Dr. Mark Garon has served the Zachary area for 30 years. And when it comes to preserving, enhancing and beautifying our smiles, Dr. Mark Garon knows we all want the best. The best care. The best service. The best results. It’s as simple as that.

Dr. Mark W. Garon is a unique kind of dentist. He takes a gentle approach, easing any concerns you might have by providing valuable patient education. He listens so he can best understand your particular needs. Then he strives to provide the highest standard of personalized dental care using his skilled training in the latest advances in dental technology.

In his time away from the office, Dr. Garon enjoys spending time with his wife Donna Hopkins Garon and their three sons Ty, Beau and Christian and daughter-in-law Michelle Martin Garon. He and his wife have two grandsons Knox and George Patrick. The family is involved in ALL water sports, including wake boarding, waterskiing, kitesurfing, windsurfing.

Dr. Garon is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology. Upon graduation he decided to pursue a career in dentistry and received a DDS from Louisiana State University Dental School in New Orleans. While in his final year at dental school at LSU he worked almost exclusively with children. It was during this time that Dr. Garon decided to follow his interests and further his career by completing a specialty certification in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Alabama At Birmingham. One of the years included a Cerebral Palsy fellowship where he worked at the Sparks Center for Developmental and Learning Disorders.

  • Past President of Louisiana Academy of Pediatric Dentistry
  • Member of ADA, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Southwest Society of Pediatric Dentistry, Sixth District Dental Association, charter member of Academy of Sports Dentistry
  • Donated time for the Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program at Children’s Hospital in New Orleans after Katrina
